After the release of his eclectic new album ‘Caligo’, UK DJ/ Producer Jon Gooch, aka Spor took over BBC Radio 1 one on Saturday for a ferocious two hour Essential Mix. Including a selection of new music from the album as well as a blistering range of his favourite tracks, the explosive debut mix is now available to stream via the BBC.

Jon said, “I work under various aliases but I have always worked under Spor. Drum and bass gave me my way into music and it was the first culture I was exposed to. As something of a misfit, the music gave me something I could really feel a part of. For my essential mix I wanted to make it a journey of how I’ve progressed as well as represent tracks I love, peers I respect, along with classics that always have an effect on me.”
