“Just weeks before the official international release of his ‘Wake Up’ EP on Casablanca Records/Universal Music, Finnish prodigy Lenno returns with the third and final installment of his Free Track Tuesday [#FTT] series, unleashing a beautiful, nu-disco-tinged, progressive reworking of Caribou’s ‘Can’t Do Without You’ – available for free download from his SoundCloud account now.
I first heard ‘Can’t Do Without You’ a few weeks back and immediately fell in love with it,” the young Finn said. “The vocal had such a timeless and classic feel to it, that I instantly knew I had to make a version that I could play out in my sets.
“I kept the amazing vocal intact and built an epic and slightly dreamy late night, feel good track around it. The whole Caribou album is probably my favourite album of the year, so I hope I did the original justice!”
With his EP out for release on Beatport in the US on November 24th (R.O.W. November 21st), plus a long-player album pegged for 2015 on major label Universal, Lenno is set to rise from his underground roots to take his place among other young producers currently rising through the ranks.
Tour dates in the US and Canada are planned for later this year, allowing his growing North American fan base the opportunity to finally see him in action. For those fans of Lenno lucky enough to live in LA, the 19-year-old will be providing support for none other than Arty for a one-off show at The Exchange on November 26th.”
